On Saturday the heirs of Corwin and Clara Springer gathered together for a fun day at my niece's acreage. It was wonderful to spend time with family. I love catching up on others and hearing stories that are shared. It is so neat to see the children growing up and see cousins interacting with each other. It is just so good to reconnect with families we don't see very often.
One sad note was that the first sister of four wasn't able to come. It was the first time we were missing a sister. She is suffering serious side effects from a bad fall. We missed her terribly and our usual four sister photo will have to wait till the next time we are together.
Families change and grow. Time goes by too quickly as we age. We lose track of time and years fly by. It is important to stay connected and enjoy each other while we have the chance.
"Give proper recognition to those widows who are really in need. But if a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents, for this is pleating to God," (1 Timothy 5:3-4 NIV).
Thank you, Father, for making families.
