Love Endures Forever

"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever." (Psalm 136:1 NIV).

This scripture begins to tell a story of some of what God has done followed by the reminder that God's love endures forever. No matter what has happened in you life, remember that "His love endures forever."

"Give thanks to the God of gods. His love endures forever." (Psalm 136:2 NIV).

Here the author proclaims that God is over all other gods. He alone is God! And "His love endures forever."

"Give thanks to the Lord of lords: His love endures forever," (Psalm 136:3 NIV).

Our God is above all other lords, He is the Lord of lords. He rules; He reigns; He is Majesty over all and "His love endures forever."

..."Give thanks to the God of heaven. His love endures forever," (Psalm 136:26 NIV).

Here the author of this Psalm reminds us to give thanks to God who is the God of heaven. He is God over heaven and earth and seas and mountains and the skies and everything in the heavens. And "His love endures forever."

The repetition of the phrase "His love endures forever," is intended to magnify the importance of remembering it. God's love will never cease being; "His love endures forever!"

May our hearts focus on thanking the Lord God for His mercy, His goodness, His kindness and His faithfulness. And remember "His love endures forever". Amen.
