Build Others Up

People are tired of the threat of COVID and now with the new variant running rampant, wearing a mask is back to being important. Life has been stressful during the last two years and people are just tired. If ever we need something to build us up, it is now. It is our job as Christians to reach out to others and make them feel loved and valued.

We can help others feel better by what we say and do. Our words can touch others in a way that changes how their day is going. A cheerful hello is always welcome and a smile (if you are free of a mask) can really brighten their world. Speaking words of kindness bless others, too. Spoken or written words can alter a mood by bringing happiness into a life.

"Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other just as in Christ God forgave you," (Ephesians 4:29, 32 NIV).

May we use every opportunity we are given today to spread encouragement through our words and actions. It may change the world for another person.
