Sometimes the world around us seems filled with turmoil and confusion. Nothing seems to be going right for us. The mind is distraught; the body is broken or in pain; our living situation is in chaos. We wonder what is next. There could be financial concerns or even the lack of food to eat. We see war on the news and there are random shootings every week. What happened to our peace?
All is not lost. There is hope when we trust in the Lord. When we are committed to God, our whole attitude changes. We move forward instead of being stuck in our pit of fear. We can depend on God and his unfailing love and mighty power to help us.
"You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord, is the Rock eternal," (Isaiah 26:3-4 NIV).
Whatever we face today, let us trust in the Lord's perfect peace. God is our Rock eternal! We can hold tight to His solid might. He will not waver or shift. He stands before us, unmoving and powerful. He is the same every day. He will not leave us or forsake us. He is the eternal Rock.
Thank you, Lord, for being at our side constantly. You alone are our Rock. You love us through our fears and troubles. We trust You and rest in Your strong arms. Amen.
